sigh. does this copy of bullets look legit? (more info in post body)
i got this as a gift a couple of years ago, and i haven’t been suspicious of it, but i was comparing it to tapricks post and i’ve got myself eyeing it.
since it was a gift, i don’t know anything about the who the seller was or what their credibility is like. this would’ve been bought sometime in jan-feb 2024 iirc
the artwork isn’t setting off any alarm bells for me - it’s all high quality and what i’d expect to see, blood comment on the disc included. there are some thin streaks on the booklet, but they’re subtle and uniform enough that it could be from a legitimate copy that just has a less-than-perfect print.
the enhanced disc has the videos it’s supposed to have, with the “last modified” dates and times matching exactly with what tapricks showed (and they both work completely fine after downloading the software they need lol)
what’s worrying me is the lack of ifpi. the code L909 - which (if discogs isn’t misleading me) should be an associated code with some releases - is etched into the disc, but there’s nothing molded into the plastic itself.
obviously whether it’s a bootleg or not doesnt effect much, i still have the thing, i’d just feel bad for the person who got it for me (shipping anything to aus is never cheap unforchies). thankyou!
