Bought a surefire procomp for my first upper build, it only came with the muzzle device, the little instruction paper, and a crush washer. Upon some research I'm seeing people say crush washers are not the way to go and Instead buy a shim kit. I'm very new to this so should I just toss the crush washer that came with the brake and buy a shim kit, even tho the instructions from surefire say to use the washer. Also have no intention of ever using a suppressor so idk if the shims are just if you plan on using one or not. Would appreciate if anyone could help me out here before I do something wrong.
