What is the impact of randomised stats on deck building?

Hey everyone! I am someone who was not privileged enough to play the vintage version of the Chaotic TCG, but I am keenly interested in getting to play the modern version. I am interested to hear from the experiences of those that play paper vintage Chaotic.

Some things i'm wondering about are:
- Does the competitive scene have a broader meta than most other TCGs because creatures fluctuate so much?

- Does the meta become more ability/mugic/battlegear/location driven rather than by stats due to unreliability?

- Did you guys figure out if there are thresholds for how low or high a given creature's stats can be? If so, are those connected to their rarity or the character on the card?

- Is deck building fun or just a pay-to-win nightmare?

- In your opinion, do you think they should change the randomisation for the modern Chaotic TCG, and why or why not?
