Ladies, remember to always forgive yourself for pursuing men and/or people in general who don't meet your standards.
Even if you think that you have no excuses, forgive yourself. Even if you were doing so well for such a long stretch of time in maintaining your standards and not allowing anyone to break them and thinking that there was no possible chance of that ever happening again (and even if that's occurred more than once in and of itself), forgive yourself. Even if you think that you're too old and have been through too much to allow these assholes to disrupt your peace, forgive yourself. Forgive yourself as many times as it takes for you to finally heal and get to where you need to be. You're strong enough. Don't be angry with yourself, and don't shame yourself. You're still just as amazing as you've always been. Being a woman is hard enough. We all need to be easier on ourselves.
