I’m not sure if I’m in the right place to ask my question. I have no one around me to help me or a store in my area to advise me.

My father lost his hearing aid in nature, about 2000 m² with 10 to 20 cm tall grass. My parents had to invest a lot of money in these hearing aids and I really wish I could find it.

After searching for a long time, no result, I thought maybe I could buy a metal detector.

Do you think it can work? What type of detector should I buy to have a chance that it will work? I can’t invest $800. Could a more basic model be suitable?
