LLC provided terrible service to 2 buyers, might pursue legal action.
Good day! TLDR at the end.
I bought a renovated food truck trailer from a LLC with a notarized agreement of what’s included in my cost.
I received the trailer with what was included, but it was horrible quality.
Examples: Plumbing busted, electrical outlets stopped working, floor bubbling, trim falling off, terrible wood cuts, counter made of partical board and not proper food safety equipment, the brake lights and running lights fused blown and wiring messed up not making it safe or legal to drive, the list goes on.
I documented most of it. I’ve reached out personally for reimbursement for some of the projects that required immediate fixing, but there’s still so much to work on. The LLC was able to pay back only official invoices I provided.
This was a year ago, I’m still working on fixing parts of it. Fast forward to now, I had another buyer reach out to me that bought from the same company with the same terrible quality issues. Now, the LLC ignoring the other buyer.
We are considering starting a case against the LLC but we are unsure if it’s worth the cost of lawyer fees. We are all in 3 different states so I’m also unsure how that affects it. Me and the other buyer are both young adults and have not had a legal case yet, so we are very new to how things work and where to start if it seems legitimate.
Thank you so much lawyers on Reddit!
TLDR: Bought a renovated food truck trailer from an LLC and it turned out to have major safety and quality issues that I’m still fixing a year later. Another buyer from the same company is now dealing with the same problems, and we’re considering legal action.
