I’ve had a crush on this girl since the 9th grade, and we are both in our senior year and graduating in 4 weeks. We’ve always had at least one class together every year. I haven’t talked to any other girl throughout high school because I really only liked her. So I decided to add her on Snapchat. This year she is in my math class. She added me back an hour or so later but didn’t send anything until after school the next day.
The first snap I sent was a picture of my dog, and she sent one of her dog back. That’s kind of how it was for the first few days. Then it turned into ceiling pictures and half-face pictures. I even tried saying goodnight and was met with a thumbs up — maybe that was a bit too soon.
One Tuesday last week, her power went out for hours during a storm, and she sent a chat on Snapchat talking about how she hated that the power was out because she wanted to apply for scholarships. We chatted a bit about that, and it got onto deeper topics like how her parents are splitting up and going through a divorce. I told her I was sorry she was going through that, and we talked about our childhoods and growing up.
After chatting for around 5 hours, I said goodnight again, and she also said goodnight back. The next day we sent some snaps during the morning, even some chats about how she hates being at school and just wants it to be over. We also talked about final exams.
When we both got home, we talked more about childhood stuff, like how she was bullied for wearing hearing aids in middle school. I told her about how I was also bullied for having a medical bracelet for a condition. We chatted a bit more and ended up saying goodnight to each other again, so that was two nights in a row.
The next morning we had a fire drill at school, and that’s when the conversation started back up again. We talked about how the alarm was stuck on and how we both had headaches. We ended up sending some snaps throughout the day, and when I got home I asked her how her day was and was met with a snap of her ceiling. Maybe she wasn’t feeling well, so I let it be.
Around the end of the night I said goodnight and woke up to a picture of her TV with no goodnight response.
Friday we didn’t really talk much, just snapped throughout the day. Later when we got home, I got some half-face snaps and figured I could start a conversation. I asked her if she was doing anything fun that weekend. She said not really, and it went on from there. I asked her about her day and got a black snap in response.
An hour later she sent a half-face snap, and it looked like she had been crying. I asked her if everything was alright, and she responded with, “I’m amazing.” I said, “Alright, if you ever need someone to talk to, let me know.” She said, “I will, thanks.” I said, “No worries,” and ended up saying goodnight with no response.
I woke up Saturday morning to a normal snap, and it was mostly just snaps throughout the day. I tried asking how her day was and just got snaps back, and that’s mostly how the weekend went. On Sunday I was left on opened for 3 hours, but she was at work, so I took it as her being busy.
Later she said she hated the weather and how it messes with her straight hair. I said I hated it too and just wanted to enjoy the outdoors. She said she hates her hair, and I told her I liked the way her hair looks. I was then met with just a black snap.
Come Monday morning, I sent a snap and she sent one back. Then, in the middle of first period class, she just unadded me.
I’m stuck on whether I should try to add her back and ask if I did something wrong. I’m just confused about why she would open up so much about all these personal things and even say goodnight, and then just unadd me like nothing ever happened.

So I've liked this girl since 9th grade and I recently added her on snap, over the first few days it started with a few snaps back and forth mainly just wall pics and pics of our pets. I took a shot in the dark and tried saying goodnight and was met with a thumbs up. A couple days later we had a power outage and she sent me a chat and started talking about how she is mad that the power is out and she was about to apply for scholarships and we ended up chatting for about 5 hours straight, mainly talking about school, family stuff, more personal stuff such as childhood, at the end of the day I ended up saying goodnight and got a goodnight back. Yesterday we talked about college a bit more and plans after school, and some more stuff about life and around the end of the day I said goodnight and got one back. Now we are at today where I started the conversation around first period talking about some smaller stuff and we had some small convos during the day and in the afternoon everything got got slow. Just back to some half face pics and wall snaps. I'm just stuck not knowing if I've done something wrong or if I'm being annoying it’s the first girl I’ve actually talked to all throughout highschool.
