3 Year Old Kinder
Hello!
I have had a search and I can’t really seem to find a thread that already answers my question.
So my son’s birthday is the 29th Dec, and he will turn 3. Am I right in thinking, then, that he must attend 3 year old kinder next year? I have taught Prep for 6 years and always thought to myself that I would send him on the later side, as he seems really young for his age compared to his peers, and also has a moderate speech delay (has been seeing speech pathologist since August of last year).
My question mainly is, does he have to attend next year? I know the birthdate range where you can choose is 1st Jan - 30th April.. he is only 2 days off that! He also still needs a daytime nap, doesn’t seem to be remotely close to toilet training… surely he can’t be ready? Or am I just really anxious and overthinking it?
