Can notes be taken typing only? Or are notebooks mandatory

Hi. I’m brand new starting my CPA journey soon. I did the CFA and did purely computer typing notes, with written formulas on a sheet.

Is purely computer typing notes with maybe some formulas possible for the CPA?

I don’t fare well with handwritten notes because my writing is atrocious and I cannot stand to look at my own writing.

Coffee makes me awake but dumb. No coffee makes me smart but tired

If I only have 6 hours of sleep, my mind is tired. It doesn’t WANT to do work. I can just sit at work and kill time. However, if I need to work or push myself, I’m capable of high level work.

Today I tried coffee in the morning (instead of getting it at lunch like I usually do).

The coffee made me lose the tired and lazy feeling, but it also made me dumb. People say something to me as they’re teaching me something and I cannot remember what they said (as I’m writing my notes).

Does anyone else have that experience with coffee?

I’ve completed CFA Level 2 so that is my reference point of difficulty. Is there anyone who’s actually done the CPA who can comment on how difficult it is? It’s been years since I’ve studied for exams so I’m nervous and just want commentary on whether it’s harder than CFA Level 1/2 and how much so.

Thanks lads!! I left finance because it was too hard to break into Wall Street. I’m becoming an accountant now.

I’m getting my transcript assessed by CPA. I spent 2 years at one university then another 2 years at the university where I actually graduated. I only sent the official transcript from my graduation university.

Is that enough for the assessment to see what CPA Prep courses I have to take?

I have a usd account enabled. I have a TFSA and a non registered margin account.

In my margin account I want to trade US stocks only. I convert my margin balance into USD. I use 100% of my USD and want to continue further, using the margin that Wealthsimple provides. I want to borrow in USD to buy US stocks.

Will I incur the cad to usd forex fee of 1.5% in and 1.5% out on the margin that I’m borrowing? Or will it automatically borrowed in USD and no forex fees?

Thank you
