Are you in your why choose + slow burn + tension era because I’m HERE for it!

Okay so I went into this thinking it would be a casual read…

Tell me WHY I’m now emotionally invested and waiting for book 2 like my life depends on it.

This is one of those stories that creeps up on you because at first you’re just vibing and just getting into the world…and then suddenly? BAM! ... you’re hooked.

We’ve got magic, a slightly academic setting, political tension, and a main character who is basically one giant mystery....Because Brielle?! We don’t fully KNOW her story yet and that’s what makes it so addictive.

You’re constantly trying to piece together who she is, where she came from, and what’s really going on. And just when you think you’re getting answers.... nope! Sike! BOOM. Cliffhanger.

This author needs to be in book jail. Immediately! That was so diabolical!

Now let’s talk about the men because.... WHY CHOOSE? When you can have them all.

We’ve got five of them, and the dynamic is such a perfect balance. Two of them are giving golden retriever energy where they are sweet, loyal, and protective. And the other three scream slow burn, tension, and longing. (The kind that has you kicking your feet and screaming)
Don't get me wrong ...the chemistry is there… it just takes its time building, and I loved that.

Also the female friendships......We LOVE to see it. Her best friend made elevated the mood and made everything feel more grounded.

I will say that the beginning takes a minute to fully grab you, and there were a couple moments where I was like wait… what just happened BUT overall...I was locked in and invested. And I need the next book immediately because that ending was RUDE!
