27F 29M, Boyfriend refuse to break while also not trying to make it work… what should I do?
We have been dating for 3 years. 2 years together in UK and 1 year long distance because of visa issues. He has promised to marry within 3 years but now he’s backing out. I do understand because we do have a few problems to work on so I asked him to apply for an unmarried partner visa so we could live together and work on our relationship. But he keeps saying he wouldn’t be able to take care of 2 people, when obviously I’d be earning money too. He says that we both would regret it. He does not have any other reason than past issues about how responsibilities in the household fell more into his shoulders because I was a student at the time and only worked part-time. He keeps talking negatively about this. And also talk negatively about his career and me.
I feel like I’ve given him enough time to decide if he wants to be with me or not. I come from a conservative family in Asia and I got family pressure to find a future partner. I feel like if he really thinks that living with me is a burden we should break up. So I suggested a breakup but he doesn't want to… so I don't understand what to do
