I made SyncScore — an ad-free scoreboard app you can control from ANY watch or phone, with Bluetooth speaker commentary & Wear OS media sync.
Hi everyone!
If you play amateur volleyball, you probably know the struggle: keeping the score in your head, shouting it out loud after every point, and eventually arguing with your friends because someone forgot the numbers.
That’s exactly what happened to my group. I tried using a basic watch app to keep track, but we still had to shout. That's when I decided to build a real solution — SyncScore.
I wanted an app that acts like a real referee. Here is how it works on the court now:
- Stadium Announcer Experience: You put a phone or tablet near the net post and connect it to a Bluetooth speaker. The app doesn't just show the score — it speaks it out loud and adds fun, dynamic commentary based on volleyball rules, so both teams always hear the current standing like they are in a pro league.
- Music & Volume Control from Wrist: Playing with background music? The Wear OS companion app lets you conveniently control the phone's volume and skip music tracks right from your wrist while you referee.
- QR-Code Remote (Works on iOS too!): The main screen shows a QR code. The referee or any player can scan it with any smartphone (iPhone or Android) and fully control the score from a web browser. No need to install anything on the remote phone.
- Control from your wrist: If you prefer, you can flip points using a Wear OS smartwatch or a cheap fitness band (via standard music control buttons).
- Deep Gym Friendly: It runs 100% offline over local Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. No internet required.
- Zero BS: It’s completely free, has no ads, no subscriptions, and requires no account.
It supports volleyball set/point rules and a few other sports. It completely fixed the score arguments for my games, and I hope it helps your group too!
The app is called SyncScore on Google Play. I can't post links here due to filters, but feel free to search for it or ask me in the comments.
