Was about to buy a units for the bedroom, Midea U and the LG are basically identical, but my HOA banned window units that stick out. they drive around looking for reasons to fine people.

but i've read about mold growing on the Midea's blower wheel. don't run the fan to dry it out or if it's a design flaw, but i have pets and no time to deep clean an AC every month.

So I had to pivot to portables. I panic bought a Gasbye dual-hose unit. Set it up yesterday...it’s quiet and cool. but two hoses are bulky and ugly, but that's the trade off.

I noticed this has a "Fan Cont." button. Do guys leave that on to dry out the inside ? Trying to avoid getting that wet dog smell in my room.
