Hooked our WiiU up earlier
My son and I were playing Switch Sports last night and I told him I liked Wii Sports Resort more because of Archery. He asked me what that was and it dawned on me the last time he saw the WiiU hooked up and running as almost 6 years ago. So, I brought the old girl out and fired everything up for us to play. He quickly became enamored with the Mii Plaza and saw all the Mii’s we had created years ago walking around. The classic Nintendo charm they used to be known for caught his eye and we were creating updated versions of Mii’s. Goddamn it, wtf happened to Nintendo? There’s nothing charming about the Switch at all and the joycons are so small to use properly. The Wiimote was so intuitive he immediately knew how to use it. We played the 100 pin bowling game and he was smiling the entire time. After that we hosted our Mii’s and played some Archery. I also showed him Yoshi’s Wooly World and Super Mario 3D World.
I think it’s safe to say this console won’t be disconnected and boxed up ever again. Now I need to find a Wii Fit so he can do the Ski Jumps and Hoola Hoops.
