The Swarm expedition still missing on Nintendo Switch – any communication from Hello Games?

I'm writing this as a polite but frustrated Nintendo Switch player who absolutely loves No Man's Sky. I understand that updates on Switch often take a little longer due to Nintendo's certification process, but the current situation with The Swarm expedition is starting to feel like we've been left behind without any word.

The Swarm expedition went live several days ago on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. As of today (June 6th, 2026), there is still no update available for the Nintendo Switch version. The in-game expedition terminal shows nothing, no download prompt appears, and my game remains on the previous patch.

I, and many other Switch interlopers, have been checking daily, restarting the console, looking for news, and the silence from Hello Games is really disappointing. We're not asking for an instant release—we know certification takes time. What we are asking for is a simple acknowledgment. A single tweet, a message in the Discord, or a small note on the official site saying: "Hey Switch players, The Swarm update is on its way, we expect it around [date], thank you for your patience." That's it.

The lack of communication makes us feel like second-class citizens in a community that is otherwise incredibly welcoming. No Man's Sky has one of the best redemption arcs in gaming history, and the way Hello Games has supported the game for years is extraordinary. That's exactly why this silence stings.

I'm posting this here because Hello Games staff often read the subreddit, and I hope this brings some visibility to the issue. If anyone from HG sees this: we love what you do, please just tell us what's going on. A little transparency goes a long way.

Switch players, feel free to share your experience in the comments. Maybe we can get a response if we make our voices heard constructively.

Thank you for reading, and safe travels.
