I got an invite to a Google Meet on my proton mail. Do I have to use my proton mail to create a Google account in order to attend this meeting?

Now, I created proton mail because I'm trying to boycott Google. Wouldn't this defeat the purpose? Is there anyway around it? And does creating a google account with proton mean Google will be able to access my data?
