Hello all. I am an incoming medical school student and I think now would be a good time to invest in a new laptop. I currently have a 13in 2018 macbook air with the 1.6 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5 and 8Gb of storage. The battery drains fairly quickly and it is slow at times. It dies if it's not plugged in for a day (even with no use), and it takes a solid 10 minutes to get up to speed after restart.

The macbook neo was exciting at first because it was so cheap. But I am thinking that investing in a better model now may be wiser considering the longevity of my training (4 years med school and 3-7 years residency).

Does anybody have suggestions?
