Eating gluten while waiting for tests?
My 12 year old is on a journey towards a celiac diagnosis. A blood test revealed high TTG IgA when we went to endocrinology to explore growth concerns. I have been concerned about this for a while and the pediatrician kept telling me that growth was fine. She is small but had been gaining and growing up until this year.
We are waiting to see the pediatric gastroenterologist. I am really struggling to continue to feed her gluten for the next seven weeks before we can even do the consult. Who knows how long it will be before the diagnosis.
Can you talk me through this?
