£6k GBP Wedding in SE London, UK
Just had my wedding this bank holiday weekend in my hometown and thought id share the breakdown. I had everything I wanted other than a few more day guests but it was perfect for us. Just want to share it can be done how you want in your budget.
The church ceremony and the party was important to me so we paid for 70% of peoples drinks in the evening and party food and hired a magician. My dress was my dream dress from needle and thread and off the rack.
We cut costs on things like my flowers (i made my own bouquet from m&s flowers), my mother in law made our cake, i did my own make up, i had no bridesmaids and i got my wedding shoes on vinted. We just made the day which was church and lunch immediate family with a couple of friends each, and had everyone join us in a local bar we liked.
Day guests - 15 people

Lunch at local italian restaurant paying for all guests
Evening guests - 60 people
Party from 7pm renting a room upstairs in a trendy cocktail bar with drinks and food provided, balloon wall and magician.
