I'm considering applying for a Greek Schengen visa for a second time and would appreciate any advice from people who have recently gone through the process in London.
My home country allows frequent travelers to hold two valid passports simultaneously, so I recently obtained a second passport with plenty of blank pages. My original passport is still valid but is almost full, with only two blank pages remaining. My current Greek Schengen visa is in this original passport and is valid until 16 July.
I have a work trip to France on 7 July, so I will need to travel with my original passport because that's where my current Schengen visa is. For anyone who has recently applied for a Greek Schengen visa in London, what were the processing times like? Ideally, if I apply using my original passport, I would need it returned by 6 July at the latest.
As an alternative, I could apply using my new passport, which has no visa history or stamps. In that case, I would need to explain my situation to the Greek authorities and provide details of my second valid passport. Does anyone know whether this is generally accepted?
Also, is holding two simultaneously valid passports common in other countries? Have any of you successfully applied for a Schengen visa while holding two passports, and if so, how did the consulate handle it?
