IB or AP?

Want any advice at all for my situation:

Currently I'm in a public school (in Canada) that offers HL English, History, Bio, and SL physics, math, french. I'm at the end of my grade 10 year right now, and will be going into full IB unless I switch out. Currently involved with vp roles in multiple clubs, pres of one club, have a good amount of research/ecs going on as well as sports.

My other option that I'm considering is AP at another school that has:

  • Biology
  • Calculus
  • Chemistry
  • Computer Science
  • Drawing
  • English Literature and Composition
  • Physics
  • Psychology
  • Statistics

My questions would be:

a) Is AP "better" than IB and if so, is it better enough to warrant a switch in schools?

b) How realistic is it to achieve a 40+ with consistent tutoring/studying starting around this summer?

c) If you believe IB is better, what are some things I can do now to prepare me?

(After asking around in-school I have had mixed reviews, with some telling me to get out of here, and some telling me that I will be fine.)
