Launched an AI Music & Atmosphere channel 1 month ago (20+ subs). Am I hurting my growth by mixing genres (Lofi, Synthwave, Cyberpunk)? Need advice!

Hey everyone,

I started a Suno AI music channel just a little over a month ago (end of April) and am currently sitting at around 20+ subscribers.

My channel is built around creating an atmospheric experience and a form of escapism—giving viewers a way to "unlock new worlds." I put a massive amount of work into my weekends researching, brainstorming, and designing insanely eye-catching, high-quality seamless video loops to go with the music. I definitely want to avoid the "AI slop" label because I genuinely curate and craft the visuals and vibes.

The Strategy & Content:

The Vibe: I offer Lofi Beats/Chillhop for studying/relaxing, alongside Cyberpunk "Neon Nights" aesthetics with Synthwave, Future Garage, and ambient textures for gaming or coding sessions.

Schedule: Currently posting long-form (1–2 hours) on Mondays and Fridays at 11 p.m. CEST, and Shorts on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 7 p.m. CEST.

Current Arc: June is my "Cyberpunk & Space" month. I’m planning to rotate themes every month (e.g., Study/Focus Month, Night Train Month, Nature Retreats).

My Main Dilemma:

I’m starting to think that targeting multiple niches on a single channel is holding me back. When looking at successful AI music channels (10k+ subs), they all seem to hyper-focus on just one single genre/niche.

My questions for you guys:

1 Is it possible to build a cohesive "Music Universe" that caters to multiple target audiences under one brand, or will the YouTube algorithm punish me for not sticking to just one genre?

2 With a channel based on monthly theme rotations, how can I better signal to the algorithm who my audience is?

3 Any general tips on boosting growth for this specific kind of aesthetic/music channel?

I won't link my channel here to respect the sub's self-promotion rules, but if anyone wants to check out the visuals/vibes to give specific feedback, let me know and I'll DM you the link or drop it in the comments if allowed!

Would love to hear your honest feedback, experiences, and advice. Thanks a lot!
