[Creative 1.0 Bug] Guard Spawner NPC takes massively increased damage after spawn (HP shows correct but dies in 1–2 shots)
I’m running into a really strange issue in Creative 1.0 with Guard Spawners that I can’t seem to fix no matter what I try.
Basically, I have guards set to high HP (around 7000). They spawn normally and everything looks correct. Their health bar shows full HP and damage numbers from weapons appear normal but in some cases they end up dying in just 1–2 shots from regular weapons.
The weird part is that nothing else seems broken. My weapons are fine, and other NPCs don’t have this issue.
What I’ve tested so far:
Replaced the Guard Spawner completely
Deleted and rebuilt the setup from scratch
Duplicated the entire island and tested there
Moved the spawner to different locations
Tested multiple guard spawners (only certain setups seem affected)
Verified weapon damage using sentry NPCs and other targets (normal damage)
Checked for environmental or device interference (none found)
What seems to trigger it:
The only pattern I’ve noticed is that it may depend on how the guard is spawned. In my testing, spawning via a Button Device seems to cause the issue more consistently than using a Trigger Device, but it’s not 100% consistent.
What’s happening:
Guard shows correct HP (e.g. 7000)
Damage numbers appear normal
But the guard takes massively increased damage internally
Dies extremely quickly (1–2 shots)
It feels like the guard’s damage scaling or initialization is breaking depending on spawn conditions, but I can’t reliably pinpoint why.
