Advice on which schools to apply to
Just struggling to figure out where to apply to, worried if I don’t have enough safety schools just bc everything is so competitive these days
Stats:
OH resident, attends out of state school in NY
MCAT: 520
GPA: 3.90 (cumulative and sci)
Clinical:
~ 300 hrs CNA job in nursing home
~ 150 hrs hospice care volunteer
~ CNA certification (100 hrs)
~ 100 hrs shadowing (Ortho, primary care, urology, derm)
Nonclinical volunteering:
~200 hrs between food pantry, church vacation bible school
Leadership:
2 semesters bio TA, 1 year of those as head TA (300 hrs)
Principal in school orchestra, head of student orch leadership board (300 hrs)
Research
~1200 hrs wet lab research, 2 posters
