There’s a younger woman (30) at work who is taken. I (42) am also taken. We work together to plan events for our large department but also work together indirectly in our main roles.
Recently we planned an evening work event and it went very well. We had some drinks and ended up hanging out afterwards with a few colleagues. I drove her back to her car at the end of the night and then we chatted for the rest of the drive home via phone call.
During this call she jokingly said I’d love for her to be my boss. I agreed, we kept on talking.
In the last few days we’ve also had to present together for work. In our conversations, which have been casual but also work related, she’s used the phrases…
“I’ve just been whipped this past week with work.”
“Sometimes you just have to be a bull and get on it.”
“Now I feel really naked without a Teams background.”
I mean…this is flirting….yes?
