My friend has been dating a guy that beats her for years.
She will not get away from him. He got her addicted to drugs and she lost all her kids except one, which he had custody of (the other kids were not his, so when she got arrested for drugs, the baby went to him.) She got out of rehab and went right back to him thinking hes changed for sure. Its only been two years, hes totally changed, none of the whole decade of reported violence towards others matters. Of course he hadnt and had her move halfway across the us so now shes been isolated from her support system. She said hes been acting really sweet to her, and I told her hes already decided to kill them so hes at peace now. Well tonight he crashed the car into a concrete pole going 95 mph trying to kill them. We dont know if hes being charged, or with what. She doesnt have custody of the five year old of theirs that was in the car cause she had her rights terminated, and hes likely not going to retain custody after this. The worst part is shes still worried about if this grown man is okay and sad that hes done something that will prevent her from being with him. I do not understand how she can sit here and say she doesnt know how he could do this, when we've all been telling her hes absolutely going to do this.
