This is just a thought I had I suppose, it’s not particularly detailed yet but I had a story idea about mars having civilizations on it and we could both see each other with telescopes but not be able to contact each other until we got the ability to send things there

I imagine it would speed up space travel and things of that sort but I’m struggling to really develop it in a unique way, because I feel like it has potential but I don’t know, tell me your thoughts
