Problem downloading scanner driver
This will be a long explanation, and the problem is driving me up the wall.
I had an old Windows 10 PC and had Rosetta Stone (language learning program) and had an Epson scanner attached with associated drivers. All worked fine till the hard drive failed.
I needed the info from the hard drive so opted to get the pc upgraded - new motherboard board, SSD drive and other handy add ins - basically the same case with a new interior, and Window 11 installed and the contents of the old hard drive transferred across. All working fine, very fast quiet.
Roll forward to a month or so ago and I want to use the scanner and there are no drivers on board the PC. I go to the Epson site, find the appropriate driver, download it and click on ‘install’. Everything seems to be going fine, then the PC asks if I want to continue to install Rosetta Stone (I had uninstalled Rosetta Stone before the PC failed and was upgraded). I ruled out human error by going through the process, several times, very carefully and every time I download the Epson drivers the PC wants to install Rosetta Stone. I even downloaded the Epson drivers to my wife’s laptop from the same source and it worked fine.
So I now have a scanner I can’t use, and a mystery issue. I’d be grateful for any ideas, please.
