Transitioning 12 month old from bottle?
Little girl just turned 1 on the 12th, we are still EBF and have no plans on stopping until she decides it’s time. I am back at work now 2 days a week and on those 2 days she goes to nursery with expressed milk in a bottle (Nuk Perfect Match are the ones she likes).
I keep seeing advice that says at 12 months old I should be weaning her off of baby bottles and encouraging a free flow spout or straw cup. The thing is she drinks water throughout the day from her 360 and at meal times from an open cup with our help. She’s also got a little straw cup for practice which she’s great at using.
Do I need to bother transitioning her from her bottle to a different cup those 2 days a week? Or is this advice more for FF babies or those on cow’s milk? I don’t plan on swapping any of her milk feeds for cow’s milk, as I feel my milk is surely more beneficial for her? Or should I be??
I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed with all of the conflicting information and would love if someone could clear it up for me and tell me what I should be doing lol x
