North East Los Angeles: My dog is missing, can y'all be on the lookout?

MISSING/POSSIBLY STOLEN DOG IN HIGHLAND PARK, LOS ANGELES?: Near Avenue 64
- BROWN MINIATURE PINSCHER (NAME IS MEATLOAF)
- 9 YEARS OLD, NEUTERED MALE
- HAS A DOCKED TAIL, A WART BETWEEN HIS EYES, FROSTED SNOUT
- WAS WEARING AN ORANGE SWEATER AND A BLUE BEADED COLLAR WITH A PAW VIEW TAG YOU CAN SCAN
Hi everyone, dealing with a really devastating situation right now. My dog went missing on May 25th 2026. He was sleeping in his dog house outside the night before (behind a securely closed gate + our home has a high fence that's locked and a big rolling gate that blocks our driveway in the back that's also locked.) and I found him gone in the morning. His gate was still closed, no other signs of him getting out (no holes or open spaces in the fence by the side of our house, no digging, no paw prints, no way for him to jump over the fence either) his blanket was pulled out and a bucket was knocked over, and there was what seems to be fresh poop around 8:30 am when I went to get him to go on our walk.
If anyone comes across this post and is near the area of Highland Park in North East LA, please keep an eye out for him! He's friendly with people, can be a little timid at first but if you are gentle with him (treats are a plus) he'll warm up to you. He responds to "Meat" "Meelo" but please don't chase him if you see him! He's a fast runner. He's shy around other dogs but he's not aggressive.
He was also dealing with some gastrointestinal issues and I was giving him meds for it, he had a vet appointment scheduled for today May 26th, I'm really worried about him being out there in his condition as he could get worse really fast.
I've already posted on my insta, the Petco Love Lost, PawBoost, Nextdoor, and the LA City Lost and Found pets page, I'm coming on here too because I'm trying to cast a wide net to better my chances of finding him! I've called local shelters and vets as well.
Offering a cash reward, no questions asked as long as he's found and brought back safely!
*Please don't use this as an opportunity to shame/judge me, I'm already beating myself up for all the things I could've done to prevent this from happening, trust me. I'm asking for some community support and I just really really want to find my fur baby and bring him home. 💔
