Battery degradation after one season
I got my Yuka 1000 (bought in summer '25) out last week after the weather setttled down here in Europe and I had done all my lawn maintenance work.
I've been a bit surprised to see that the battery seems to last about 20% less than it did last year.
Relatively short tasks that used to be done in one blast now require a charge.
Although I did winter maintenance, I haven't yet changed the blades. I wanted to see if everything was still working normally before I did that.
Is it possible that bluntish blades lead to more resistance and so faster use of battery?
Is it normal for battteries to warm up a little and improve after a few charges?
Or should I be thinking about reporting such battery degradation as an issue?
I plan to replace the blades this weekend, so will get some better insight then. For now, just curious to know what you think and if anybody has had similar experiences.
