New Employer says Im not entitled to paid annual, sick, or public holiday leave. Is this right?

Im new to Ireland so im not sure if this is normal, but my new employer who runs an entirely family-ran buisness (I am the only non-family member worker there) said since I'm part-time (24/hrs a week), I'm not entitled to any paid annual, sick, or public holidays. He said for a public holiday, I would be scheduled for the next day after and get a 20% increase to my hourly rate.

This does not sound right at all, but like I said, I'm new to the country so maybe this is normal? Any help is appreciated

Edit: Seems like Im being taken for a fool. Im not really sure how to approach this situation but I've applied to join a union and will probably do some more research on my rights. Thanks everyone this info has really helped!
