I'm much more comfortable with charcoal or paint - always feel like a hack the way I go about my chaotic cross-hatching with a pen. But I don't have the time or space for my preferred, more messy media lately. So I'm trying to double-down and finish some drawings in pen and maybe improve along the way. I just don't currently have the patience for more deliberate line work that I admire in others' drawings.
