I have a few maxi dresses which are made of a thin stretch cotton, and I can feel the weight of the skirt pulling the dress out of shape every time I wear them. The one I've had longest, the top is almost see-through because of the stretch 🥲

I'm not going to buy maxi dresses made out of such thin fabric anymore, but is there any way to give the ones I have more stability so they don't become unwearable? Lining the skirt with a non stretch fabric or something? (I've never done a fix like this, so it's a broad "is this possible/could a tailor do this" rather than "can *I* do this" kind of question).
