Toxicity Levels of Small-Midsize Companies to Big Companies?

I know toxicity permeates all types of companies at some level no matter the size but wondering on everyone’s experience if they find small-midsize private companies to be a lot more toxic vs big public companies?

In my experience, going from a mid-size private company from a F500 l, I’ve never seen so much office politics and rampant nepotism/cronyism. On top of that, the legacy employees are only interested in looking out for one another and it’s hard to be in their circle. I had a great 12 year career at my previous F500 company and being at this new company for 2 years, it’s been completely miserable and on top of that mentally draining as I believe they are targeting to try and get rid of me even though I am doing the work. I feel like I also feel like expectations between people are not consistent. I want to leave but the job market is brutal right now 😭
