i have a friend who is 19 that is “working” at this cafe. its a bit dodgy no employee contract they even skipped an interview straight to a trial work day. she initially was paid $15/ hour and now they’ve upped it to $20/ hour which i don’t think is right (as even working in fast food you get full pay for training.) ive told her to ask them if theres any official employee agreement but they said not to worry about that until later. they also keep telling her they’ll pay her $20/ hour until she fully is comfortable with the job as shes still in training. they dont even know what to pay her saying theyll google what they’re supposed to pay her when shes fully experience. is this all correct it seems dodgy to me.
