Uber and e delivery services in Cape Town becoming unreliable and dangerous

Just a warning based on my own experience.

I no longer feel comfortable using Uber or some delivery services in Cape Town, especially at night. I've had too many situations where drivers were difficult to reach, locations on the app didn't seem accurate, deliveries were delayed for long periods, and communication was poor.

I've also experienced drivers becoming rude or argumentative when simple instructions were given. Recently, a delivery driver repeatedly rang bells and caused a disturbance despite clear delivery instructions, and then became confrontational when asked about it.

Not every driver is like this, but the overall experience has become frustrating and, at times, unsafe.

My advice, especially for women and tourists, is to be cautious when using these services at night. If possible, use transport arranged directly through your hotel, accommodation, or a trusted company.

I've decided to stop using Uber for now. Until GPS tracking, driver accountability, and customer safety improve, I'd rather use alternative transport options.

Stay safe and trust your instincts.

Anyone with a better experience at medical hair restoration?

I underwent a hair transplant with Medical Hair Restoration in Cape Town.

Initially, the clinic appeared professional and reassuring. However, I was disappointed by the level of transparency and follow-up care after the procedure.

During the surgery, I was sedated, and when I woke up, technicians were performing major parts of the follicle implantation while the doctor was largely absent for portions of the procedure. This was not clearly explained to me beforehand, and I believe patients should be fully informed about who will perform each stage of the transplant.

Post-operative follow-up was also very limited. Communication after the procedure felt poor, and there was little structured support regarding progress or concerns afterward.

Unfortunately, my transplant results have been uneven. One side has shown reasonable growth, while the other side has had noticeably poorer density and growth. After consulting another specialist, I was advised that the implantation quality on one side may not have been ideal, and I may require a corrective procedure.

This was a significant personal and financial investment for me, and I genuinely hoped for a better experience. Anyone with who experienced better or similar and how did you sort your issue out....?
