Good morning guys, I just received this on Thursday and noticed the circular patterns in dark scenes and when booting up on this is with brightness turned up to anything above 70% with auto brightness disabled, Is this normal or should I return it ? if the brightness is at say 50% then you can just bearlthy see them, but they are still there and show up when playing games and like resident evil

**Maltese Citizenship by Descent – Can we apply with incomplete surname chain docs? (Deceased mother)**

Hi all, We're applying for Maltese citizenship by descent for my wife (born South Africa, 1991) through her late grandmother who was born in Malta in 1943.

**The good news:**

- Wife's aunt and cousin have ALREADY successfully obtained Maltese citizenship through the same grandmother — so the Maltese lineage side is fully proven and on file in Malta already

- We have the applicant's vault birth certificate linking her to her mother (with matching SA ID number)

- We have the mother's vault birth certificate (born Baylis)

- We have the mother's death certificate (died under Pietersen/Baylis, same ID number throughout)

- The SA ID number is identical across all documents — same person, no doubt

**The complication:**

The mother's surname journey: born Baylis → married ~1990 (became Marsh) → divorced ~1992 (reverted to Baylis) → married Pietersen in 2015 → died 2017 under Pietersen/Baylis.

We are missing:

- The 1990 marriage certificate (Baylis → Marsh)

- The early 1990s divorce decree (Marsh → Baylis)

- The 2015 marriage certificate (Baylis → Pietersen) — obtainable in weeks via SA's National Population Register using her ID number

We don't know the exact dates or locations of the 1990 marriage or divorce, which makes those harder to track down.

**The question:**

Has anyone successfully navigated a case where the intermediate ancestor's full surname chain couldn't be fully documented? Would Malta likely accept the ID number consistency across all documents as sufficient, or will they definitely RFE us for every name change certificate?

Also has anyone dealt with a deceased intermediate ancestor under Article 3(4) of the Maltese Citizenship Act?

Any experience from people who've been through something similar would be massively appreciated. Thanks!
