Walked into my client’s home to supervise a RBT today. The client crying and biting inanimate objects (something that’s not in the BIP). The RBT said it had been like this for two hours.
When I asked if anything was going on, the parents said “oh we took them to the ER early this morning, they have a double ear and sinus infection”. They’re nonverbal and 4.
I immediately cancelled the session and offered the RBT the option to go home or be coverage.

NOTHING PRODUCTIVE WILL OCCUR WITH A SICK CHILD, LET THEM REST.
