Hey guys a few questions, not sure if this was answered already above but not sure if there was a release announcement of the group matchmaking server? I find it really interesting because I understand it has some measures to counteract mega packs. Wouldn’t this mean that it’s even better to join this server for solos, since it’s more likely to find “realistic” groups of the same dinosaur instead of 10 of different species hanging around the pond at Cedrus?
While playing the solo server I found it to be the same experience as officials. I usually encounter more solos on officials…
Also another question, I know that right now to form a group in the group server you need to pass your friends a code so they can join you in the lobby. But I know that there are a lot of people who’d like to play in realistic same dino groups but don’t have friends available to join them in the lobby before. I think it would be cool if while waiting im the lobby you’d be able to see who else is waiting in lobbies and on which dinos, so that you can matchmake with randoms and group up before entering the server. Is this something that’s going to happen or are there any reasons for why this wouldn’t work?
And a final one, how is the group server going to help with megapacks, considering that even in solo servers you find them because they meet through discord. Are there going to be so many different servers that it’s not going to be possible for them to meet “randomly”? Wouldn’t this spread the player base thin over multiple different servers?
