Men feel so damn entitled to staying in a relationship for as long as *they* decide and it’s so infuriating

Have you guys ever noticed this? Like you can’t just break up with them if you’re not feeling it anymore. Unless they’ve done something unspeakable, and only according to their belief system, they just can’t conceive of the fact that you have the right to terminate a relationship because you feel like it. To them that’s not a good enough reason. They don’t get sad, they get resentful like you personally insulted them in the worst possible way. It’s incredibly bizarre to me.

If someone told me they don’t feel in love with me anymore and they just wanted to call it a day and I still wanted to be with them, sure I’d be really sad, maybe try to reason with them and see if there’s anything I could do to change their mind, but I wouldn’t be *mad* about it?! They have the right to feel that way.

Yet if a man decided to end the relationship on a random Tuesday, they’d just bolt without as much as an explanation. But you have to sit there writing essays upon essays defending your right to not feel love or compatibility.

And these have been some of the “good ones.”
