free backtesting tool to log your trades super fast

Hello everyone,

For this week's Software Sunday, I wanted to share a project I've been building for the past few weeks and get some feedback from other traders.

The idea came from my own frustration with backtesting and trade journaling taking longer than the actual analysis. The tool, Backplay, automatically captures screenshots during a review session and lets you use voice notes to document your thoughts and trade rationale, which are then transcribed and organized into a journal.

It's completely free and I would really like to get everybody's feedback on it.

It screenshots your trade for you and uses your voice to write down the descriptions and details of your trade, making backtesting loads faster.

Trade journals should not be paid I believe, I've tried Tradezella, and also FXjournal but the only thing they were missing was the free aspect.

All you have to do to get started is make an account, create a strategy and session, then set up your screenshare and mic and you are good to go.

I have a quick demo here and on the site there's a longer tutorial and a link to the discord where you can submit suggestions and questions. I hope you guys enjoy!

I'll comment the link and you can also see it in the video down below.

P.S.

If you keep getting cut off with the voice transcription, go to the settings and make the Silence timeout longer.

free backtesting journal that uses your voice to log your trades

Hello everyone, for this week's Software Sunday I wanted to share something I have been working on to speed up backtesting / trade journaling. It's called backplay and you can find it at try it out here.

It's completely free and I would really like to get everybody's feedback on it.

It screenshots your trade for you and uses your voice to write down the descriptions and details of your trade, making backtesting loads faster.

support and resistance ym

hello everyone i have recently been trading support and resistance after switching from breakouts and i was wondering if anybody else also trades support and resistance here on nq and us30. i would love to learn more about people’s entry criteria’s but from my backtesting and demo trading, i like to wait for a candle close past level and then a candle close reversing to show that we are reacting to the level. i know many people enter while the candle is still being formed and i would really like to learn more about it. thanks in advance you guys
