i5 14600K Temp Spikes Normal?
i recently bought a i5-14600K with a 360mm AIO shows quick temp spikes. In games it stays stable around 70–80°C and never goes above 82°C. But at idle or light use it jumps from around 40°C to 65°C randomly, with no thermal throttling. I live in Karachi so the hot weather might also be affecting temps? ors this normal for this CPU, or should I check my pump, BIOS settings, fan curves, or voltage?
I don’t have a pump header, so I’m using the CPU_FAN header for my AIO pump. It’s currently set to a fixed 90% in BIOS so the pump runs at 90% constantly. In games, temps stay fine — usually 70 to 80°C and max around 82, but Im unsure if I should just set the pump to 100% instead. Will running it at full speed reduce pump lifespan, or is it actually recommended for stability and better cooling?
Any advice would be appreciated.
