[Other] [TOMT] Anyone know where an old fanfic about the Fierce Deity is?
Looking for an old Zelda fanfic (Majora's Mask sequel, Fierce Deity possession, comet/star)
I'm trying to find a Zelda fanfic I read somewhere around 2005-2011. It may have been on FanFiction.net, Zelda Universe, Zelda Legends, or another Zelda fansite. It was also adapted into a voice-acted YouTube series at one point using still images and multiple voice actors.
What I remember:
Took place after Majora's Mask.
Link was older and living in Hyrule Castle.
Link and Zelda had feelings for each other.
The King brought in a foreign prince or noble as a potential husband for Zelda.
The prince was arrogant and Link hated him.
Link still possessed the Fierce Deity Mask.
A sage (possibly Rauru) warned Link that the mask was dangerous and should be destroyed.
The spirit inside the mask communicated with Link. I believe it was referred to as Oni Link or simply Oni.
Link eventually put the mask on willingly and became fully possessed.
Link became a passenger in his own body for at least part of the story.
Hyrule soldiers were sent after him and were defeated.
The Fierce Deity retained the classic white-haired appearance from the game.
The Fierce Deity wanted Ganondorf revived so he could fight a worthy opponent.
A star or comet appeared in the sky and slowly moved closer to Hyrule over the course of several days.
The celestial object empowered the Fierce Deity.
I distinctly remember a scene where the Fierce Deity stood on a hill waiting for challengers while the star/comet continued approaching.
I think Link eventually regained control of himself.
Ganondorf may have actually been revived later in the story.
I've searched for years and haven't been able to find either the fanfic or the old YouTube dub. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
