Console repair delay response

Dropped my consoles off at a local repair shop a week ago on Wednesday. I was told they would likely be ready by Friday.

Friday (11:47am) I messaged: “Hi Peter, just checking in to see how the consoles are coming along.”

Saturday (12:20pm) I received a reply apologising for the late response, saying they had a busy week, jobs were delayed, and that my consoles would be on the list for next week Monday and I would be contacted once they had been worked on and ready for pickup.

I then asked for clarification, since I was originally told Friday, and asked whether they meant this coming Monday or the following Monday.

They replied saying they understood, repeated that they had been busy, and said the turnaround time is usually 2–3 business days but can be longer. They also confirmed I would be contacted Monday afternoon regarding progress.

Monday (6:46pm) I messaged again because I hadn’t heard anything by closing time, asking for an update and realistic timeframe.

Tuesday they were closed.

Wednesday (8:42am) they replied apologising again, saying they had been off due to sick kids, and that they would be in touch that afternoon regarding progress.

It is now past that time and I still haven’t received any update.

At this point I’ve told them I will be collecting my consoles tomorrow regardless of repair status.

Am I overreacting, or is this just poor communication from the shop?
