EC troubles
I'm currently finishing my sophomore year at a competitive high school. I have a 4.5 weighted and 4.0 unweighted GPA, and most of my classes are AP's other than honors english or PE. I've started studying for the SAT and plan on studying more this summer and I think I could get 1550+ (if not i'll retake until i do), so my academics are alright.
However my EC's are terrible, or nonexistent I should say, I literally don't have any to list. I spent all of my free time, whatever I have left from studying, either working out or working on my personal coding projects. I plan on volunteering in a local pet shelter, but I am afraid that even so my EC's are nowhere near they should be. If matters, I'll be applying for a software engineering major. So yeah, I was wondering what I should do about my extracurriculars? I don't play any sports, I'm not in any clubs, and I haven't volunteered or done any community service whatsoever😭
