An average Joe’s guide to qualifying P1 and P2 in Barcelona
Please can the more experienced F1 viewers validate my thoughts on how Ferrari can realistically (somehow) overcome the engine deficit for the next race at Barcelona?
Try and eliminate as much rear wing as possible to reduce drag and increase top speed on the main straight. Since the SF26 is good in the corners this reduction in the rear wing should hopefully not have a terrible impact on corner handling. Goal is to look at Verstappen’s Monza rear wing configuration from last year.
This one isn’t popular but worth a shot. Have one car give the other a nice fat tow down the straight. This should give the towed car a few tenths (I’m hoping)
Make sure to leave the pits the last in Q3, no matter what. Hit the track when the track evolution is the best even if it means having only 2 runs (1 prep and 1 final)
If you were a driver or TP would you entertain these points?
