PR cleared up by the 6th week!
Hi all, just because I was doomscrolling this sub when I had PR and was convincing myself it wouldn't clear up in the 6 weeks because of how many horror stories there are here, also my own derm said when she had PR it lasted 6 months... just wanted to throw my story out there to give people some hope: I had PR earlier this year all over my trunk, arms, legs and neck, it was so bad that even my derm commented on how I had a particularly bad case, and by the 6th week my skin was 99% clear with some reminiscent dark patches, but it wasn't so bad and I still felt comfortable wearing a bikini (it cleared up just in time for my FL vacation - yay!!). To note is that on the 5th week I started taking valacyclovir for five days (for non-PR related reasons), which I heard may or may not help resolve PR, so I don't know if my 6 week recovery was quickened by that med or if it was going to clear up anyway, but just a heads up that it certainly didn't make things worse (I know some people may have valacyclovir handy...). And I didn't do any at home remedies like tanning in the sun or anything. Good luck everybody!
