Hoya Compacta Issues

I bought this variegated Hoya Compacta about a month ago from a local nursery and it’s easily one of my favorites at this point. It’s been just hanging out, looking exactly the same up until about a few days ago where a couple of the white leaves got soft and wrinkled and then turned brown (which you can see on the right). I had recently watered it, so when I noticed the two leaves going soft, I did pull it out to check the roots and swapped the soil out for the chunky mix I make (FF ocean forest, charcoal, orchid bark, perlite); the mix it came in seemed good, but I figured it was worth ruling out and making sure there wasn’t root rot or something.
Now the leaf above it is starting to do the same thing. Should I have also mixed in some cactus/succulent soil to make sure it’s not a watering issue? Am I doing something else wrong? The left cutting is unchanged and I had repotted it back in the original nursery pot. No sign of any pests either.

New to Pitchers

I picked up this Nepenthes Alata at a local nursery and looking closer it looks like there’s two plants in the same pot and both are producing tiny pitchers towards the center of the pot. It looks like it’s potted in peat and I was debating repotting in a 50/50 sphagnum and perlite blend or holding off until it acclimates since I read these can be sensitive to change. Should I separate them when I do repot and what’s a good timeframe to do it?
