Do I still have a chance for nursing school in Houston?

Hi everyone, I’m applying to nursing programs in Houston and I’m trying to get a realistic idea of my chances.

Here’s my situation:

  • GPA: ~3.5
  • Associate degree completed
  • Science courses: A&P I & II, Microbiology, Chemistry, Pharmacology (mostly A’s and B’s)
  • TEAS score: 64% (first attempt, struggling with math/science sections)
  • CNA experience: currently working at Houston Methodist

I’ve been studying for the TEAS, but I’m having a hard time focusing and improving my score. I understand the material better when I practice questions, but test performance is still inconsistent.

I’m mostly looking at schools like Lone Star, TWU, UH, and possibly others in the Houston area (not UTHealth).

My main question is:
Do I still have a realistic chance of getting into nursing school with my stats, and what schools should I focus on?

Any honest advice would really help. I just want a realistic plan forward
